ACCESS

ACCESS is a suite of summative English language proficiency assessments. It is taken annually by English learners in kindergarten through grade 12.

ACCESS measures what students know and can do in English in the domains of Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Educators use test results to make decisions about students' proficiency with English in academic contexts and to facilitate their language development.

Students' scores reflect proficiency levels ranging from Level 1 (Entering) to Level 6 (Reaching).

English learners at DHS will take ACCESS in late February/early March.
