LAW ALLOWS FOR UNIFORM TREATMENT AS MILITARY CHILDREN TRANSFER
Which students are covered?
- Active duty, including Guard & Reserve on active-duty orders (Title 10)
- Children of retired or medically discharged (within 1 year)
- Service members who die on active duty, within 1 year of death
- Uniformed members of NOAA and USPHS(US Public Health Service)
What do I need to remember?
- Deployment-related absences (Board Policy: 4400 Attendance)
- Extracurricular activities, including athletics
- Course waivers/flexibility with scheduling
- Hand-carried records, including recommendations
- On-time graduation
